Every year in September this medieval fair takes place in the village of Alvalade, commemorating its "foral" (500 years in 2010).

It's usually in middle September and goes on for four days. During the event the daily life in medieval times is brought back to Alvalade. There are shows of all sorts, including medieval music and sword fights.
There is an entrance fee of around 3,5 Eur.
