This milestone has the makers name at the top.

Brown and Green, Luton, were the iron founders who made a number of milestones placed in this area. They also manufactured parts for WW1 mills bombs or hand grenades. The firm was later taken over and became Gibbs and Dandy, a DIY shop covering many parts of southern England and beyond.
