One of the features of this old church is a sedalia and piscina which were installed around 1199 in the original church. They were kept when the church building as we see it was rebuilt in the early C13th.
The Sedalia is of three seats each of different height openings, the shortest one having a stone foot-rest. It is to be seen in the south wall of the chancel in the sanctuary near the altar. The piscina, a basin used by the priest for ritual washing, is next to the sedalia. The seats are divided from each other by an open arch with a round pillar, the arch tops are decorated with dog's-tooth and fleurs-de-lis decoration.
