Gustav Winters moved to Fuerteventura, the most arid island of the Canarias archipelago, during the 30's. Officially he wanted to invest in vineyards and produce wine. But apparently there are some evidences that he was actually a German secret agent. Perhaps it's all about rumors, but there are some strange facts involving this man and his life in Fuerteventura. Why would the house need electrical infrastructures almost at industrial level? Why there is so many people talking about submarines visiting the north coast of Fuerteventura?
Well, nobody will ever know the whole truth about Gustav Winters. The most fantastic tales mention his villa as a safe house for German Nazi leaders to spend some time before they proceed fleeing to South America, after the War. Some people say they actually had plastic surgery there, changing their faces. Other references talk about hidden submarines in the lava tunnels, not far from Winters villa...
Nowadays, one can wander around the house. Officially it's not open to the public, but there are people who say the local guardian will open the door for a small fee.
