The cog railway from Vitznau to Mount Rigi was built 1869 to 1871. It was the first in Europe and the second of the world. It brings about 500,000 passengers each year from 439 to 1752 meters above sea level.

The depot was renovated in 1991. Because there is not enough space between the station, the depot and the lake, there is no other solution than a turntable, so it is still in use like in the 19th century.
Number of Stalls: 8

Year Built: 01/01/1871

Currently in Operation: yes
