This Lavoir / Wash House is located in the middle of the fields near Porto Dinheiro.
At the location there is an old well with a manual pump that was used to get the water from the well to the washers or to other uses.
More recently the house was conected to the public water supply and taps were installed in the washers.
The wash house is locked and doesnt seem to be of any recent used. The architecture of the place seem´s recent (probably from the middle of the 1980´s) and probably at that time the area was renewed and the old building as replaced by this new one. The washers seem´s to be older than the wash house itself.
