Brezník ( 1006 m ) - Mountain Summits on Waymarking.com

CZ:

• Brezník je výrazný suk na Šumave jižne od Hartmanic. Nejvyšší bod jeho skalnatého vrcholu dosahuje výšky 1 006 m.
  Brezník je tedy jednou z 392 „tisícovek“ Ceské republiky.

• Nachází se na území Národního parku Šumava, je však volne prístupný.

• Pod vrcholovým skaliskem je kaple svatého Vintíre, který zde žil až do své smrti v roce 1 045.

• Na nejvyšší skálu vedou od kaple staré schody vytesané do žuly.

• Na temeni skály se nachází litinový kríž a trigonometrický bod.

• Z vrcholu se otevírá krásný výhled na protejší horské hrebeny. Dominují mu impozantní tisícovky Ždánidla, Drevená hul, Debrník (Lackenberg), Polom. Na západe pak Vysoký hrbet.

• Na východní strane Brezníku je vzrostlý les, a tak tímto smerem není z vrcholu videt. Vyhlídky do vnitrozemí a na východní cást Šumavy se však otvírají na úbocí hory.

• Výstup na Brezník není obtížný – vede sem zelená turistická trasa z Roviny, kde je i neplacené parkovište Národního parku. Prevýšení této trasy je necelých 100 metru.
  Prijít lze i po modré znacce z Hartmanic, ale je to dál a musíte pocítat s prevýšením cca 350 metru. (viz mapa)

• Brezník is a distinct peak in Sumava mountain range southward of Hartmanice. The highest point of its rocky top reaches a height of 1 006 m.

  So Brezník is one of the 392 “thousanders” in the Czech Republic.

• Brezník is located in the Sumava National Park, but is freely accessible.

• Under the peak rock is the chapel of blessed Gunther who lived here as a hermit untihl his death in 1 045.

• The summit is accesible by old stairs carved in the granite rock. This stairway lead from chapel.

• At the top of the rock is iron cross and trigonometric point.

• From the top of the Brezník is beautiful view across the mountain ridges. Southward We can see dominant mountains Ždánidla, Drevená hul, Debrník (Lackenberg), Polom and in the west Vysoký hrbet.

• Ascent to the Brezník isn´t difficult – you can use the green marked hiking trail from Rovina. There is the nearest free parking place. Elevation difference of this route is less than 100 meters.
  You can also use the blue trail from Hartmanice but you have to count with elevation difference about 350 meters.
