This museum showcases artefacts associated with, and the history of World Heritage Site, Wat Phu (wm: WMCETX), which lies in southern Laos, a few kilometres to the west of the small town of Champasak, in the province of the same name.
The museum consists of a large, square exhibition hall, which houses the artefacts. The remainder of the building is offices. Photography is not allowed in the museum itself. The exhibits are artefacts of the Kymer era of the pagoda, when Champasak was an outlying province of the Kymer Empire. The exhibits are labelled in a curious mix of Laotian, Thai, English and French, and I venture to suggest that there is some mis-labelling, however, it is an impressive array of artefacts, and several are attractive pieces of artwork in their own right.
Entry is free, once one is in possession of an entry ticket to the Wat itself ($4).
Theme: Cultural history, Kymer Era, of southern Laos.
 Food Court: no
 Gift Shop: yes
Hours of Operation: As far as I can gather, the Wat is open during the daylight hours, seven days a week.
