It’s time to discuss government policy with someone who knows about it first hand. The kind face of President George Washington is welcoming as he sits outside Scheels All Sports store. The statue was placed there in the spring of 2011 inviting some interaction with customers entering the store. The life-sized bronze likeness holds a document with the words: "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America." A plaque with his story stands next to the statue.
