There are many castles along the England/Wales border. With construction starting in 1810AD, this is one of the newer castles, built as much for display as defensive purposes. There are also extensive grounds to wander around.

There are many castles along the England/Wales border. With construction starting in 1810AD, this is one of the newer castles, built as much for display as defensive purposes. Whilst the castle has all the towers, turrets etc you would expect from a castle, you'll notice large windows to let li9ghht into the state rooms, rather than arrow slits for defence.

There are also extensive grounds to wander around, containing various attractions, including the arboretum and lake.

Children will enjoy the play area, maze and assault course.
