It’s time to sit and discuss government policy with someone who knows about it first hand. The kind face of late President Lincoln is welcoming as he sits outside this Fargo Scheels All Sports store. The statue was placed there in the spring of 2011 inviting some interaction with customers entering the store. The bronze likeness holds an envelope, perhaps the one with the Gettysburg Address scrawled on it. It is an honor to share the bench with this gentleman. A plaque with his story stands next to the statue.
This life-sized figure was sculpted by Colorado artist Mark Lundeen.
