The lower portion of the building holds the Boulder Army Store, which has occupied the space for over 60 years. The IOOF No 9 Boulder is still housed in the building constructed in 1899. There is also a Rebekah group at this location.
The Boulder Army Store is well supported since Boulder is both a College town (University of Colorado) and attracts many sports enthusiasts. The store offers new items as well as surplus.
The IOOF building was built in 1899 for the miners and their families. The building was designed by Thomas Crockett and built by Luther Hixon. (See gallery for photo of historic plaque)
