I've been bowling here on and off for many years initially casually then in recent years as a league bowler.
The centre has been the venue for some of the top National and International Tournaments, and has attracted bowlers from every corner of the globe.
On the International front, Charrington Bowl has hosted the Triple Crown Tournament and two of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, the 8th FIQ World Championships in 1975 and the 13th International Bowling World Cup in 1977.
It is still used for many domestic Championships and challenge matches.
A friendly centre with a cafeteria, bar, video games and pool tables. It also has a professional on site who runs ther "pro shop" which sells everything bowling related, from balls to shoes.
