Once in the churchyard you will find graves hidden away in each part of the grounds.
It just seems to go on and on. Check out the wooded area, I found some in there, even in the densest parts.
The graves at the front of the church are well kept but elsewhere nature has taken over. Not everywhere though, if you go through the wood you will find some more, well tended graves.
The Church was constructed in 1866 and also has some graves dedicated to servicemen from the great wars as well as a World War 1 monument that is well worth spending a few minutes at.
The church was severely damaged by bombing during the second world war and nearly all the stained glass windows were unfortunately destroyed.

I haven't included the full text of the headstone, it is rather full, trust me to pick a headstone with seven names on it. I can tell you it is the grave of Capt J E Bromage and his family, dating from 1867 to 1935. I do have a picture attached though.

The main photo was not taken on the day I visited, the trees spoiled any views of the whole church so I am using one I took a couple of years ago when Sutton was blanketed in snow (and the trees were bare). I took it around the time I placed a Church Micro Geocache which still exists today!
