In May 2004 the ball earned a Guinness Book of World Records certification. It is still a roadside attraction in which anyone can paint a layer on the ball and be a part of history.

Started in 1977, this roadside attraction started out as a baseball connected to a metal hook. 30+ plus years later and over 20,000 coats of paint, this ball is now certified as the Biggest Ball of paint by the Guinness Book of World Records. Anyone can come up and knock on the door and paint a layer on the ball. The owners do ask that you please attempt this Waymark in the evenings or on weekends as they may be no one home to let you paint during the day on a weekend.
When you post your visit, please include your layer number (the owner logs each and every layer), color of paint you chose and include any pictures.
