The sculpture is outside the Franklin Academy High School in Malone, New York. There are two humanoid figures sitting back to back, each reading a book. One, made of concrete, is a realistic depiction of a human young man. The other, made of formed sheet metal, is a more stylized figure, perhaps a robot.

DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH:
The described 24-inch-high base surrounded by blue sheet metal is no longer present. The humanoid figures sit on a round concrete slab at ground level. The concrete figure is damaged: his right hand and the right-hand half of his book are missing.
