St Peter's church was founded in 967 AD, making it one of the oldest in western Europe. The bell cote is a modern addition from a rebuild in late 1800s.

The bell cote is on the western end of the church, with ropes going in to the church. The church is a grade 1 listed structure. There are two small bells.
