The city hall is located on Imperial Ave, about a block from the downtown area. The large building houses both the city hall and the police station. Around the corner from the city hall is the fire department. The whole civic center is a block or so from the main highway in downtown.
The city of Imperial is located about 4 mile north of El Centro. The 2010 population was 14,758. Tourism is the main business in this small town. Within a few minutes drive from here are golf course and sand dune course.
