This painting of Beaver Bay spans the entire wall of this log building next to the town post office. It provides a welcome sign for those traveling north from Duluth, informing the tourist that this oldest community on the North Shore was established in 1856. There is no date on the mural but the 2010 census records show that the population has doubled since the painting was done. It is easily spotted when traveling north on Hwy. 61.
