Denver's Fire Station 1 is located a the busy intersection of Speer and Colfax. This station has five units: District Chief 2, Engine 1, Tower 1, Collapse Rig and Water Rescue. Training rooms are located as well as a 'Safe Haven' for babies. The Denver Fire Department's Fallen Fire Fighter memorial is also located on the grounds.
The Denver Fire Department website does not provide details about the individual stations beyond the units housed there. This station is very busy and has many trucks. There are five main doors on the station for rapid exit of emergency vehicles.
