This Doughboy can be found near the main entrance to Elm Ridge Cemetery off Kilgore Avenue on the southwest side of Muncie. The statue stood briefly downtown at city hall, but was soon moved to Elm Ridge, where it has been since 1939.

Today it occupies a small landscaped space. The Doughboy stands on a relatively small stone base. According to the Doughboy internet database it supposedly also stands on a Viquesney-designed dirt mound encircled by rocks, but that is clearly no longer the case.

A plaque on the front names this the "Elizabeth Sears Memorial to Deceased Veterans of the World War 1917-1918."

The statue is in good condition. It retains the rifle strap, but is missing the barbed wire.

It may visited during open cemetery hours, and parking is available adjacent to the Doughboy.
