In 2009, Liquori's Pizza, on 659 Westfield Street (Route 20) in West Springfield, commissioned a mural for the its front wall, which is parallel to a busy street. This signed work by artist B. Hosmer is unique in that it surrounds the front windows in the scene and manages to to use them to deliver a three dimensional perspective.
A gondolier, standing on the stern of his boat, dominates the left hand side of the mural. In the center portion is the canal and the aforementioned shop windows. To the right are pilings, flowers and the artist's signature. Buildings line both sides of the canal which taper to a central vanishing point at the top of the mural. The effect is best view from a distance.
