The Gordon Loomis House is a two-story masonry house with a pitch roof and is three bays wide and two bays deep. It is an an example of an early 19th century house in a transitional Federal and Greek Revival style. The elliptical gable window is of the Federal era and the block lintels and pedimented front Greek Revival elements.

The house was built by Gordon Loomis about 1834 on land given to him by his father, Ira Loomis. Gordon Loomis was a farmer. Upon his death in 1899, the house passed to his daughter Lucy Gates.

The house is in good condition and continues to serve as a single family home.
