De mug-helikopter, met standplaats aan het AZ Sint-Jan in Brugge, heeft dezelfde uitrusting als een mug-voertuig. Er is plaats voor één patiënt, een anesthesist of een urgentiearts en een verpleegkundige. ,,Een interventie met de helikopter verloopt tot drie keer sneller dan via de weg. Binnen de vier minuten is de mug-heli vertrekkensklaar.

The helicopter, with the base at AZ Sint-Jan Brugge, has the same equipment as a first emergency-vehicle. There is room for one patient, an anesthesiologist or an emergency doctor and a nurse.
An intervention with the helicopter goes up to three times faster than by road. Within four minutes the heli ready to go.
