Located at 14 W. Jefferson Street in Joliet, Illinois, this memorial has the names of those who have fallen (starting in 1865) on either side of depiction of law enforcement officers.
The engraving on that granite plaque reads:
"This memorial is dedicated to the men and women
who have died in the line of duty while
protecting the people of Will County.
We must never forget their sacrifice.
There is no greater gift that
someone can give than to lay
down his life for another."
