This is a memorial for those citizens of West Orange that gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country during World War II.

The memorial is a brass plaque on a stone wall and base. The plaque was sponsored by the Gold Star Mothers of West Orange.

The plaque reads:

1941 1945
WE HOLD IN REVERENCE
THE MEMORY OF THE WEST ORANGE MEN
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN WORLD WAR II
MAY THEIR SACRIFICE BRING PEACE TO MANKIND

The plaque then lists the names of 124 men from West Orange that were killed during the war.
