The plaque is on the lefthand side as you enter the main entrance. It is about 2 feet above the ground and slated at a 45 degree angle. It has a decretive etching in it as well as the date on the plaque. The coat of arms is not historic, but it is a real coat of arms. It was placed here in 1976 on the 200th aniversity of the United States of America. This coat of arms is part of a plaque that is cemented into the Valley Forge visitor center wall.
