The Myriad Gardens opened on March 25, 1988, under leadership from Dean A. McGee. The focal point of the garden is the 224 ft. long tropical conservatory, home to birds, butterflies, reptiles, fish, and an abundance of plants and flowers from all over the world.
The Crystal Bridge just underwent a major renovation in 2010, replacing the outer tiles. The grounds were completely revamped to make the area more inviting and open.
Inside the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory there are waterfalls, wooden walkways, a sky walk, fish ponds and lots of seating areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. On the beautiful grounds surrounding the bridge you can find sculptures, a bandshell, waterfalls, fountains, Children's Garden, live-stage theater, and of course many varieties of plants and trees used in the landscaping.
Performances and concerts are offered on the grounds of the garden, and educational classes are offered throughout the year. During the Christmas holiday the bridge and outdoor trees are lit up and it is a sight to see.
