Die Brücke wurde für die Chiemgau Bahn gebaut, die Prien mit Aschau verbindet. Heute hat der Verkehr in der Bernauer Str. stark zugenommen, sie verbindet Prien mit der Autobahn A8 München-Salzburg.

The bridge was built for the Chiemgau Bahn to connect the village Prien and the village Aschau. Today, the traffic in the Bernauer Street has greatly increased because it connects Prien with the interstate A8 Munich-Salzburg.
