The only movie ever financed by the sale of a comic book collection and most probably the best movie ever made for $27,000. This film has gained an enormous following on video then DVD. It truly has achieved cult status. This outrageous comedy is about a day in the life of a convenience store clerk works because the situations are hilarious, it's well casted, and the witty dialog is unforgettable.
Dante Hicks, played by Brian O'Halloran, is unexpectedly called into work on his day off. He is reluctant since he has a street hockey game at 2 pm. He goes to work nonetheless and is confronted with a series of episodic situations including: the antics of odd-ball customers, the hockey game, an unexpected funeral, issues with his present and former girlfriend, etc. Complicating his life are the clerk of the adjacent video store Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson), and a pair of drug dealers Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith), who do their business on the sidewalk outside the adjacent RST Video store.
The film is rated R - it contains strong sexually explicit language.
