Street address was 30502 Hook Creek Road. There used to be a sign here, we are told, but we couldn't find it today.
The information we have is that this was a private residence on a small in-holding lot within the San Bernardino National Forest. The home was abandoned some years ago, quite likely after a fire roared through. The Old Fire of 2003 consumed this canyon; it might well have been this fire that destroyed this home. We have to assume that the residents opted not to re-build.
A geocache (GCPJXM) is 30-40 feet from the chimney; we got most of our information on this place from it. The coords we posted for this are about mid-way between the cache and the chimney; you can see it nicely from here.
