Boone Speedway has been attracting racing enthusiasts for more than 40 years and claims to have the fastest dirt track in the state. The oval track is ¼ mile in length. Races are held weekly in the summer. In 2011, the 4th of July celebration included the traditional “Eve of Destruction” with motocross, monster trucks, school bus, and trailer races before the holiday fireworks display.
