The Walker County Courthouse is a white marble Art Deco structure. It is part of the Jasper Downtown Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The side of the courthouse with the name faces 19th Street West to the south. Located in the plaza in front of the Courthouse are a Confederate Monument with Historical Marker, a Veterans Memorial, a Police Memorial, and a memorial to three members of the Bankhead Family.
