South Webster, Ohio, is a small farming community in Scioto County, in the extreme southern Ohio, not far from the Ohio River. Oddly, there seems to be no record of a "Webster," just "South Webster." One of its claims to fame, however, is as the location for the world
Cornhole Championship.
This park, located on the site of the former railroad depot (1853-1965) has a gazebo, a war memorial for those who served in World War I, II, and the Korean War, a plaque honoring veterans of the Gulf War and a bell that once was mounted in the Hales Creek Baptist Church. There is also a
time capsule created at the time of the town Centennial in 1987.
