There are twenty public boat landings along the South Fork of the Shenandoah River maintained by the VDGIF (Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries). The
Inskeep Landing is located on Rt. 684 just downstream of the bridge on Bixlers Ferry Rd.
This landing was named in honor of Robert Inskeep. A stone monument was erected at the north side of the parking area near the entrance. The plaque reads:
