Artistry creates a clever way to disguise boarded-up windows in Estherville’s old City Hall/Fire Station. Each window is painted with details that could well be seen through any glass opening: curtains, glassware, flowers. The front window has a folk art depiction of a home, and the door at the back creates the appearance of an arched opening leading to a cobblestone patio. The name J. Lenz was included by the artist.
This historic building is currently for sale, the first floor available for retail business and the upstairs for apartment rental.
