Felix Schlosser came to the USA from Germany in 1922 and moved to the Morrilton area in 1926. He operated a small retail meat market until it burned. He soon rebuilt and in 1930 he adopted the name Morrilton Packing Co. He operated a wholesale/retail business from this location until the company was moved to an ultra modern plant on the east side of town. The company's history can be read at (

The building is in the 200 block of North Moose St. There is no signage indicating it's current use although there are two well-maintained appearing garage-type doors and there is a furniture store next door. It may be their warehouse. Morrilton Packing Company has been gone since 1987 but the lettering on the faded sign can still be seen if you look closely.
