This beautiful bighorn ram sculpture is found in a shaded area of the CSU campus. The piece is roughly two and one half times the size of a real bighorn ram. The bighorn ram is also the official animal of the state of Colorado.

"Before we were called the Rams, we were the Aggies. In 1946, the Aggies adopted a Rocky Mountain bighorn ram as the official mascot. The original ram was named "CAM" for Colorado A&M, and one of his descendants remains our mascot today. When the school became Colorado State University, our nickname officially changed from Aggies to Rams." (from (visit link) )
