WHILE CELEBRATING HER BICENTENNIAL WE HONOR AND REMBEMBER HER COMMITMENT AS FIRST WOMAN OF CULTURE AND AMERICAN WAR CORRESPONDENT IN COMBAT CONDITIONS IN CHARGE OF ASSISTANCE TO THE WOUNDED OF BOTH SIDES DURING THE ROMAN REPUBLIC IN 1849.
