Near the center of the UCO campus is a lovely man-made lake, surrounded with landscaping, walkways, seating areas, sculptures and trees. At the northeast side of Broncho Lake, a peaceful waterfall flows from the higher surrounding grass area, southwest, under an arched pedestrian walkway, and empties into the lake. The waterfall is approximately 27 ft. long, and 7 ft. wide.
A sloping trail of large, flat rocks makes up the pathway for the water. There is no incoming water source for the waterfall. Water is re-circulated by pump, from the lake. Shrubs and greenery hug the edges of the rocks enhancing its beauty. The pleasant sound of the water adds to the restfulness of this area. Live ducks and geese have made the lake their home. They are tame and will walk right up to you, looking for a hand-out. The sculpture shown in the gallery is called Port Authority, which sits near the pedestrian bridge.
