The sign features a metal cutout of a flaying bird in the middle. It's sits between a frame made of concrete with green metallic lattice. On top its written "City of Watsonville." The bird is the symbol of the city, and is featured on the city's flag.
Watsonville is located in south Santa Cruz county. It's the seat of the county.
