The Wetmore House is the only location in Piedmont of the NRHP. The house was built for Jesse Lamereaux Wetmore, who was a 49er. Westmore was involved in railroad activity, and on April 24, 1877, he purchased two parcels of land in what would be Piedmont. Westmore built the Victorian home himself with the help, of his brother, William Puddington.
He was influenced by the French colonial houses and it shows in the houses facade. The house has a ten foot veranda in the front.
The house is currently up for sale.
