The memorial consists of a flagpole bearing the United States flag. On the square (4-sided) base of the flagpole are four plaques bearing the names of local residents who served in the different branches of the U.S. military. Located nearby is a Blue Star Memorial Highway marker amidst a nicely tended garden with a fir tree, palm shrub, and several plants. Behind the veterans memorial is an adorable little white gazebo, behind which is a vacant brick building with a fading ad for Wrigley's Spearmint Gum painted on it.
