Bolton Abbey is in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and also the Earl of Devonshire’s Yorkshire Estate.
The post office is in the main car park in the village. The car park is operated by the Earl’s estate and there is a charge of £6 per day, however you can move on to other car parks on the estate using the same ticket.
The shop sells the typical touristy things you would expect in a tourist gift shop, but they’re probably a cut above what’s found in some of them. The shop also acts as a tourist information office.
It also sells a small variety of sandwiches and soft drinks.
The Post Office opens 5 days a week 9am to 5:30pm, closed Tuesday and Saturday afternoon from 12:45pm and all day Sunday, and Christmas Day.

Monday to Saturday 9am to 5:30pm
Sunday and Bank Holidays. 10am to 5:30pm
