Hagerman is located in Gooding County, Idaho and has a population of about 800. The city hall is a concrete block building located at 191 N State Street.
The community of Hagerman was established in 1892 when a general store and post office was opened by Stanley Hageman and Jack Hess. The town was named for Hageman but a spelling error by the Post Office department resulted in the official name being Hagerman.
The Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument is headquartered here along with a visitor center.
