In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the first shipment of iron ore from the state of Minnesota, through the port of Two Harbors and to the memory of those men of vision and courage, who prompted the Duluth and Iron Range Railroad Co., this memorial is dedicated. ‘They builded better than they knew.’”
