Summer fun awaits eager swimmers in the Rock Valley area.
Rock Valley Public Swimming Pool is located on the northeast corner of the City Park on 13th Avenue one block from Highway 18. Here trained lifeguards watch for the safety of swimmers; there is a main pool with high and low diving boards, ranging in depth from 3’ to 8’ with a 12’ depth in the diving area, a 3’ deep training pool, and a separate 7” wading pool for the little ones. An interior ramp makes this facility handicapped accessible. Restrooms, showers, and lockers are in the change house, and the shaded park offers picnic tables and grills. Swimming lessons and water aerobics classes are available. Swimming is open to the public Monday-Friday from 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Saturday from 1-7 p.m., and Sunday from 1:30-5 p.m. Admission is $3 per day and season tickets may be purchased. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
