a great old tunnel we used to go and hide in and have great Halloween Parties inside; Onetime on Halloween a bunch of RISD student had a big party there and the police came and everyone tried to hide of make it to the other end to escape....
Cunnently its open on one end and other is sealed up for some luxury condos; this side is also in jepordy of getting sealed up as major construction is starting nearby.....
A bit of wildness in the heart of town. A great place for kids to escape; to imagine being in the jungles. A good place to build a clubhouse or fort. A good place to do whatever your Momma told you not to. Good to find snakes and frogs Better than three playgrounds put together; cheaper than an amusement park and more exciting. Seedy but adventureous. I fear these places are becomming less and less. Soon the luxury condos will displace the kids fort; that is exactly what happened at the other end of this tunnel.
