This is one of my favorite cemeteries. A nice lawn and tall trees turn this garden like cemetery into a restful place. Among the features here are a large sundial, a monument to those who died during the Great Depression and a monument to those in the RAF who died in Mesa during World War II. Among the famous who are buried here, the best known is Waylon Jennings.
The cemetery is Mesa's second cemetery. The first one closed and the graves moved to this location. This cemetery opened in 1891. It is in use currently. There are roughly 7000 interments.
