The Barrhead Legion No.75 placed this gun in Memorial Park on Highway 33 and 49A Street. Along with a memorial to Barrhead's fallen this is a respectful way to honour Barrhead's war dead.
The park is on the land formerly occupied by the United Church from 1927 to 1995.
